AD5522 Eval Board idle temperature

$

Hi,

My customer noticed that the AD5522 Eval Board run hot when idle(no load ,output disable) ca. 70°C

From the reference design, ADI does not mention any heat sink required .

Is this typical? I doubt that we can achieve the spec at that temperature.

Where can I get the thermal characteristic for the chip.

Thank you.

AD7843

Hello,

I'm developing a solution that contains a TS module and uses an AD7843 to interface to a Microchip PIC18F4550, but I am not able to read the values X andY. I followed the instructions in the Data Sheet, I have implemented the serial, I tried using SPI (via hardware), but the only information I can read is the PENIRQ.
Does anyone have an source example on pic (any family)?

P.S.: I'm using Microchip C18, but any code in any laguage/tool is valid.

Thanks,

Hi,

Regarding to AMR angle sensor ADA4571 when used in linear configuration, I would like to know,

a) Minimum and Maximum pitch between a north and south pole which available to be used.

b) Accuracy data when used above minimum and maximum putch in above question a).

I have attached following picture of image written on white board to avoid misreadings.

⊿Lp is the pitch I'm asking. ⊿Lz is distance between sensor and the magnet.

ADF7020-1 question

I want to be able to offer two frequency ranges, one being ~600MHz and the other being ~900 MHz.  I'm wondering if I  can expand the range of the 7020-1 to get up to the 900MHz.  It looks like the -1 part was designed to hit the lower frequency ranges and that the upper end of the VCO was affected by this.  Am I on the right track?  Is there another transceiver part that will cover the two ranges mentioned?  My data rate is about 50kbps.

Thanks,

Tim

EVAL-ADF7021DBZ5 for ADF7021

$

Hi all,

I wanna ask about ADIsimSRD Design studio for Eval-ADF7021DBZ5.

Introduction:

- My team wanna make nanosatellite communication payload using ADF7021with the spec=
Rx = 145.95 MHz (single channel with the width 10Khz)
   Tx = 436 MHz (width 30Khz)

- I have bought EVAL-ADF7021DBZ5 for my Rx requirement
And then I use ADIsimSRD Design studio to get the output maching

Question=

I get the data sheet about ADF7021, and I see that there is EVAL-ADF7021DBX silkscreen, as my guidance to put my R,L,C components and make circuit for that evaluation board based on ADIsimSRD Design studio, but it's different R,L,C position name with the result that I get from ADIsimSRD Design studio. So, how to put my R,L,C components? Is there other  EVAL-ADF7021DBX silkscreen as my guidance?

Because
From SRD I get= L31, L32, L33, L33, L34, C31, C32, C33, C34, C35, C36

And in the data sheet, there aren't that component name

Thanks a lot for all of your help
I need the answer as soon as possible, thanks

AD5273 Programmable Digital Potentiometer

We use the AD5273 for adjusting contrast on a LCD we use in our design.   The LCD is changing and we no longer need the AD5273 to adjust contrast but we have to leave the AD5273 in the circuit because the microprocessor software is co-dependent on the AD5273 reporting back the wiper position register data.  If the Micro does not receive the data back from the AD5273 the program locks up and changing the software is not an option. Is it acceptable to leave the A,B and Z - I/O's floating?   Will leaving A,B or Z floating cause unwanted ringing or oscillations?   Do we need to leave them all loaded?

Thank you.

Question about test setting of ADN8834

Hello,

My customer wants to confirm the performance of ADN8834 using EVM first.

And they are trying to test a ADN8834 EVM and TOSA module with Thermoelectric Cooler (from NeoPhotonics.)

During the test, they say that they can't confirm TEC currents, they can confirm only small change of TEC currents occasionally.

So they request how to confirm the operation of ADN8834 and how to set up ADN8834 at temperature test.

(They use plat cable for connecting between ADN8834 in EVM and TEC in TOSA module.)

Would you advise me how to test ADN8834 in EVM ?

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hi ADIer,

Where can I find the IBIS model of ADATE318? I can not do simulation without it.

I can't find a suitable place to put this request, ADATE318 integrated DACs, maybe I can put it here.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

We are using the SPICE model of AD8672 to simulate the open-loop gain & phase shift vs. frequency & output impedance vs. frequency. It turns out to be quite different from the listed in data sheet. Attached is the test result for your information, thanks

LVPECL swing converter

Is there a device which would accept differential LVPECL signal and convert it to differential signal of 6 v p-p or higher...

I am planning to adopt ADN2526 since it has open collector outputs...

My application requires such device with maximum propagation delay of 50ps.

The ADN2526 specs do not list propagation delay...

Please advice,

Sincerely,

Having noise problems w/ AD1988A / ASUS/ M2N-SLI Deluxe

I have the latest drivers and a creative 7.1 speaker setup. My monitor is a Olevia 42 inch LCD TV.

I have this background hum. Just like when a guitar is plugged into an amp. There are times when it will stop for a short time and then return. My TV output is plugged into the input jack on my PC. And all of the wiring is correct. I also have some Sansui speakers involved as front speakers. (I'm trying to think of everything here.) But it is strange that this hum will come and go. Any ideas on where to start looking?

Hi every one.

I have 320*240 LCD with resistive touch screen and touch screen controller of AD7843 ( All is together in one LCD from topway: KM2088S). I want to know what is the best way to calibrate the touch screen? when I push the touch screen a little bit it shows me a number, but when I push it harder it shows me a different number!! how can I solve it? Is it going to solve by calibration? I really appreciate if you guys can help me.

AD5242 used as varying resistor with LM317 to get analog voltage

I am trying to get analog voltage with AD5242 and LM317. I get both the ICs working seperately but when I use the resistor value I created with AD5242 on the LM317, it doesn't work as expected. I increase the resistor value step by step from 100R to 10K. At small resistor values (100R to 2K) the output voltage increases accordingly (about 1V to 6.8V). After that, I continue to increase the resistance but output voltage stucks at 6.8V. Sorry if it is a silly question. Sorry for my English and the goofy sketch. Any help will be much appreciated.
